Suicide Not GOD's Heart (1)

To inspire, encourage, motivate, and give hope for faith to find HIS love that never fails…

If want to follow this blog, then press the blue button found on this page left sidebar; otherwise you will follow my other blog which is beavoicefororphans.

I am a husband, a dad, a teacher with a pastor’s heart of compassion, a survivor of a suicide attempt, a patient that was admitted into a psychiatric hospital 4 times, and an overcomer because of God’s help… from the overwhelming struggle/darkness/pain/heartache/heartbreak/suicidal thoughts involving low self-esteem, loneliness, doubt, fear, depression, anxiety, and mental illness…

My heart goes out to you in love, care, and support!  It is tough dealing with depression and/or mental illness for sure, I know…

I am here for you if ever need to talk, I’ll listen… I pray for you as well to help ease your heart, soul, mind, and spirit to have breakthrough of peace…

You may ask what can I do? What helped me?

Counseling and medicine can be helpful to an extent. There was wonderful and refreshing breakthrough with having someone to talk to about the struggle and problems I was dealing with.  You can talk to me if you don’t have someone else.  After about 18 years on and off medicine, I was given a medicine that really did help me.

But what do you do besides that while you’re alone if there still isn’t the remedy cure you’re needing and want?

Most of my breakthrough has come from my relationship with God the FATHER and the Good Shepherd JESUS who restores my soul, refreshes my heart, renews my mind, and rekindles my spirit…

I wrote in journals and still do. Write about what you’re thankful for and pour out your heart on paper (you can do this daily even); mine was in the creative outlet of  poetry and now I enjoy this form of communicating so much. You don’t have to make it all perfect, just start with freestyle writing, just words and thoughts, until you can express what you’re feeling more coherently later.

I also continuously prayed by casting all my cares and anxieties on the LORD for HE cares and understands, spent time with HIM reading and writing out prayers, and asked for what I needed including taking away the nightmares and for having a sound mind that thinks clearly… HE answered and helped me, not always instantly, not always consistently, not always when I wanted, not always… Why?  HE was teaching me, growing me, and maturing me…  for HE was developing in me faith to fight and press on, to learn that I was dependent on HIM to be asking for HIS help, seeking for HIS peace, and knocking on HIS heart so a door opened to which HE ultimately was steering me toward, to understand my weaknesses and lean on HIM for strength to carry on, to go and do… Life…

So that I would one day be understanding and compassionate toward others who are suffering so greatly…  to be a voice to the hurt, pain, sadness, disappointment, mistakes, and failures that others feel and deal with just like I had experienced and relate to those who have it much worse than I ever did…

and to know the depths of darkness HE took me through… to know that I know HE can save anyone facing anything and offer hope… and NEW life… to take me through the valley of the shadow of death… proving once and for all how awesome and freeing is HIS LOVE for me and others is, can be, will be…  to be a voice and point to the ONE for those who need and want a rescue…  to know that no matter how dark it is, how terrifying it is, how evil it is =that HIS Light travels into and encompasses beyond it and ever further than I ever thought possible… chasing it all away… to be brought out of a pit of hell where I once laid my head…  for only HE could and did bring me out…  to live again…

I listened to music a lot and still do.  Music that is hopeful and uplifting…  You’ll find on my blog a compilation of songs to listen to for encouragement. An important step, when you can and you’re further along on your healing journey, is to find a way to help and support others. I teach kids and help orphans which motivates and inspires me with a life purpose. You also have a purpose and a hope for a brighter future even if you don’t know what it is yet. You’ll find that what you’ve dealt with, have going on, the struggle you have is going to be used for good in others around you once your perspective is right and newly open…

At last, but not least, I have a very supportive and loving wife whose helped me so much. If not married, ask HIM for a friend to confide in for extra support.  I am here for you if there is no one else.  I’ll listen…

With that being said, I believe the dark times were meant to draw me closer to God and learn to trust in HIS Love which HE has been faithful to do more and more…  Anyways, you’re loved and valuable… Keep up the fight and be an overcomer…

If ever need someone to be there for you, to listen, pray for, and encourage, feel free to let me know…  I mean this sincerely…

to turn around for, move toward, and/or desire more for = finding another way to choose to live on… Each one can be an overcomer and discover the purpose and hope for life to help others… Each person needs love… to know love and be known… You are loved, known, and can be known as a valuable treasure… Sometimes, we need someone to be there for us… to be encouraged… to realize you are not alone…

Psalm 34

I will extol the Lord at all times;
    his praise will always be on my lips.
I will glory in the Lord;
    let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord with me;
    let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
    he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant;
    their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
    and he delivers them.

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
    blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Fear the Lord, you his holy people,
    for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
11 Come, my children, listen to me;
    I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Whoever of you loves life
    and desires to see many good days,
13 keep your tongue from evil
    and your lips from telling lies.
14 Turn from evil and do good;
    seek peace and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
    and his ears are attentive to their cry;
16 but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
    to blot out their name from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
    and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19 The righteous person may have many troubles,
    but the Lord delivers him from them all;
20 he protects all his bones,
    not one of them will be broken.

21 Evil will slay the wicked;
    the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord will rescue his servants;
    no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
