I wish I had faith

like you to believe

How do you receive

what is hard to conceive

You’re close, near to what you say

I sense your wonder

You’re aware out there is thunder

You can’t see, but hear echoing asunder

Faith comes by hearing

Into your mind at the start

HIS Word nearing your heart

For your soul salvation impart

Storm is the metaphor you can’t ignore

Lightning seen is HIS appearing and dying; the love that is true

Rain is your crying as HIS blood and water fall; worth buying all that is you

Clouds are the darkness that enshrouds your understanding of sin and shame lying to disprove

Clear skies are what finds you out of hiding into HIS forgiveness providing a breakthrough

Rainbow is HIS life arisen over arching your own to give hope and a future making all things new

Storms of life get in the way

Where will you go for a light to retrieve?

How will you cope when the dark tries to deceive?

Who will you turn to when you have to grieve?

JESUS is close, near when you pray

HE senses what you’re heavy under

HE is aware of heartache when you blunder

HE sees to defend from the enemy’s plunder

JESUS is the calm of your storm always

Today is the day of your salvation, so finally believe

As a little child trusting, choose to receive

It’s okay, do not fear, HE gives more than you can conceive

You’re close, draw near and HE will draw nearer than what you say

All in wonder as you wonder of HIS wonder

HE speaks in the quiet and the thunder

Angels rejoice in echoing asunder
